I moved to SF from San Diego area last year and have a senior Maltese mix who has been super healthy all her life. Late last year, she stopped eating and I had to take her into a new vet in the City and took her to SPAH. They have been so wonderful from the beginning, working us in for our first appointment (an urgent one on a Saturday not being an established patient) right away! Dr. Pal saw her for that first visit and diagnosed her with kidney disease and helped get her back on track right away. Dr. Pal was very professional, knowledgable, and kind and helped me understand my pet’s health issues and plan for how to address moving forward. Since that visit I have been back 3 more times and have seen all 4 of the vets in this practice. They are all super gentle, caring and kind and I have walked away feeling confident in the quality of care they have provided. They also listen to me and approach their treatment plans with my more conservative approach in mind, knowing I want to keep my baby comfortable in her senior years but don’t want to be overly aggressive in treatment. My most recent visit this week with Dr. Ro continued to cement my impression of SPAH just being the best place to get care for your pet, be it wellness visits or intervention. Dr. Ro’s compassion and care for my dog was evident from the moment she walking in the room, and her knowledge and expertise made me feel so comfortable that my dog was where she needed to be. She took time to review test results and engage my agreement with the treatment plan and answered/addressed all my questions/concerns with some of the unique characteristics of having a senior dog. The vet techs and front office staff were also very welcoming, kind, and caring. I am so appreciative for finding this veterinary practice and know that my sweet baby will be in good hands these twilight years of her long life. Thank you to all the doctors and vets at this practice. And to anyone reading this, if you are looking for high quality, professional, and gentle caring veterinary services, I cannot recommend SPAH highly enough! You will definitely be in good hands from the time you walk in the door with this wonderful staff.​​​​​​​

I moved to SF about a year ago with my puppy and cat, and after trying 3 other vets in the city, I'm so glad I found this one. When my dog was having what felt like an emergency (turned out to be a URI), they got me in same-day — and when I asked, they actually moved my appointment up by 2 hours.
The doctor and her techs were incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They also go the extra mile with sweet personal touches — Boone's name was written on the board in the exam room and printed on his prescription bag. AND sent us home with some extra treats!
I'm not the most financially stable right now, and they worked with me and my budget to make sure Boone still got the care he needed — and they did it without any judgment, which is rarer than it should be.
I thought I loved my vet in the east bay prior to my move, but South Park is the best of the best!

We switched to South Park when we had an urgent matter and our ‘usual’ vet was unable to see us for over a week!! South Park managed to squeeze us in that day between their appointments, and then perform a minor surgical later that day. Again today we had a minor but urgent (anal gland) issue and once again they looked after us. We have 2 Havanese dogs and we know they are in the best hands at South Park Animal Hospital!

I’m very grateful to the South Park team for their care and expertise! Dr Burovic and Dr Ro are both highly empathetic, friendly, and knowledgeable; on recent visits they each spent time thoroughly explaining their findings and getting to know our cats.

I was able to easily schedule both wellness visits and a same-day check in on separate occasions, and found pricing to be transparent. Thank you also to Mariel, Audrey, Katie and Sachin for their kindness, efficiency and warm welcome—the personalized artwork in the exam rooms is very sweet, and intake and wait times were excellent. Thank you!

What a wonderful experience at South Park Animal Hospital for our two cats, Neo and Cherry. We're new to the city and our kitties are new to the country, so this was our first vet visit here for their wellness exams, blood work, and vaccines, and it could not have gone more smoothly.

The whole team was great. They were very accommodating - they didn't force Neo through a urinalysis when he was already stressed, walked us through every line item on the bill, and were super quick to fix a small discrepancy in our cats' birthdays on the spot. Dr. Ro was so thorough in her exam and detailed in her explanations. She also sent us a blood work breakdown after the visit that was really comprehensive and easy to follow.

The hospital was clean, the care was thoughtful, and we can't recommend them enough!
