Dr. Deepti Pal
Dr. Deepti Pal, owner of South Park Animal Hospital, discovered her passion for animals as a young girl while watching and assisting her veterinarian father. Growing up in a family of veterinarians, she developed an early appreciation for the human–animal bond and the role compassionate medicine plays in supporting it. For nearly two decades, Dr. Pal has worked in veterinary practices across the United States, refining her clinical and technical skills while building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families. From welcoming a new puppy home to caring for a beloved senior pet, her mission is to provide nurturing, holistic, family-centered care at every stage of life.
Dr. Pal has special interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and advanced dentistry. She is passionate about combining thorough diagnostics with thoughtful treatment plans to help pets feel their best and enjoy a high quality of life.
She views every patient as a member of her own family and takes pride in being a trusted veterinarian for life. Dr. Pal and her team are proud to offer comprehensive, low-stress care to the South Park community and beyond.

Dr. Mindy Liou
Dr. Mindy Liou grew up in Chicago with family roots in both Illinois and Maui, giving her an appreciation for everything from snowy winters to tropical beaches. She studied molecular biology at UC Berkeley before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis.
Dr. Liou has been part of South Park Animal Hospital since our early days, working closely with Dr. Pal and helping shape the warm, supportive culture our clients know today. She is known for her compassionate approach, gentle sense of humor, and the genuine connections she builds with both pets and their families. Dr. Liou has a special soft spot for senior and special-needs pets and takes pride in helping them feel their best every day.
At home, she dotes on her rabbit, Max, and her pittie, Lilo. Outside the hospital, she enjoys time with family, good food, and trips back to the beach whenever she can.

Annie Ro
Dr. Annie Ro grew up in Southern California surrounded by family and many beloved pets, which sparked her early interest in veterinary medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA and went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis.
Dr. Ro is a thoughtful and dedicated veterinarian who takes a thorough, individualized approach to every patient. She is known for the time and attention she gives each visit, helping families feel informed, supported, and confident in their pet’s care. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, dentistry, and surgery, with a strong focus on keeping pets healthy and comfortable throughout every stage of life.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Ro enjoys hiking, relaxing at the beach, and traveling to new places whenever she gets the chance.

Dr. Zerina Burovic
Dr. Zerina Burovic grew up in San Diego and developed a love for animals early in life. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology from UC Santa Cruz before attending St. George’s University on the Caribbean island of Grenada. She completed her clinical training at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Dr. Zerina is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and their families. She enjoys taking the time to educate pet owners on preventive care and focuses on ensuring pets enjoy happy, active lives at every age.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Zerina enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and spending time at the beach.

Dan Bucy
DVM, DACVR (Board-certified radiologist)
Dr. Dan Bucy graduated from Colorado State Veterinary School in 2011. He completed a rotating internship in medicine, surgery, and emergency at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center in 2012, and then went on to complete a four-year residency at the University of California, Davis in 2016. Dan lives in San Francisco with his wife, Alanna, and their dogs, Cooper and Murray. In his spare time, Dan enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and exploring northern California


Jennifer Ree
DVM, DACVS-SA (Board-certified veterinary surgeon)
Dr. Jennifer Ree is a board-certified veterinary surgeon with a passion for improving the lives of animals through advanced surgical care. A Bay Area native, Dr. Ree earned her veterinary degree from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She went on to complete a rigorous rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri, followed by a specialized surgical internship at VCA Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, NY. She completed her surgical residency at Oregon State University in 2016 and returned to Northern California, where she spent four years in referral practice before becoming board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2020. Since then, she has been providing mobile surgical services throughout the Bay Area, making advanced surgical care more accessible for pets and their families. Dr. Ree has a professional interest in orthopedic surgery—including procedures such as TPLO, patellar luxation correction, and fracture repair—as well as a deep appreciation for soft tissue surgery. She is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach to patient care and her dedication to high surgical standards. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Ree lives in the South Bay with her husband, her energetic cattle dog mix Lettie, and her senior long-haired cat, Sulley. She enjoys TV watching, movies, reading, and going to as many Dave Matthews Band shows as possible.


Dr. Kyle Wakeman
DVM, DACVR (Board-certified radiologist)
Dr. Kyle Wakeman grew up in Northern California and followed his passion for veterinary medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. After completing a rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital in San Diego, he pursued advanced training in diagnostic imaging through a residency at the University of California, Davis, where he also served as a clinical instructor.
Now living on the coast, Dr. Wakeman enjoys exploring the outdoors and everything the Bay Area has to offer in his free time. He provides thoughtful, thorough care for pets and supports families in making the best decisions for their companions.


Dr. Justin Williams
DVM, DACVIM (Cardiologist)
Dr. Justin Williams brings over a decade of specialized expertise in veterinary cardiology. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Williams pursued his veterinary medical degree at Colorado State University, graduating in 2007. He then completed an intensive internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Denver, Colorado. His passion for cardiology led him to Boston, where he completed a rigorous three-year cardiology residency at the MSPCA Angell Animal Medical Center. In 2011, Dr. Williams achieved board certification in cardiology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
Originally hailing from Arizona, Dr. Williams now enjoys the diverse landscapes of California with his wife, Emily, and their three children. An outdoor enthusiast, he can often be found fly-fishing, hiking, or capturing nature through photography. In his downtime, remains active by playing ice hockey.


Amy Allen
DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Internal Medicine & Endoscopy)
Dr. Amy Allen is a board-certified internal medicine specialist with a special interest in endoscopy. She trained at UC Davis and University of Illinois and has been performing mobile endoscopy for over 20 years. When Dr. Allen is not scoping animals, she can be found hiking with her Dutch Shepherd mix or spending time with her two kids and husband and large extended family.
