Early detection is vital to treating your pet when they are not feeling well. South Park Animal Hospital offers in-house diagnostics, including blood, urine testing , parasite detection, tonometry, and microscopic evaluation. This saves time, so you don’t have to wait overnight for results—meaning your pet gets a diagnosis and needed treatment sooner.
While we offer certain on-site testing, your pet may need laboratory work beyond our scope. For those cases, we will send blood work or other testing samples to an outside lab.
Digital Radiology (X-Rays)
Radiographs, or x-rays, use electromagnetic radiation to detect internal abnormalities, including skeletal fractures, soft-tissue damage, and foreign bodies. Dental x-rays help diagnose dental disease that may not be apparent to the eye. At South Park Animal Hospital, we use advanced imaging technologies to guarantee the highest quality of care for our patients.
Ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool that creates a real-time image of an animal’s body. This composite reveals important information about internal processes including the circulatory, skeletal and gastrointestinal systems. At South Park Animal Hospital, we partner with a traveling specialist who offers this service to our patients.
